Keep morning goodbyes short and sweet. Always say goodbye with a hug and a kiss, but do not linger in the classroom. The longer you stay, the harder it will be on your little one.
Work together with the teacher when working on correcting certain behaviors in your child. Things will change for the better quickly if there is consistency both at home and in the classroom.
Pack a lunch for your child that is easy for them to self feed. The more they can do without help, the more confident they will become.
When potty training, send children to school in clothes that are easy to remove on their own. Buttons and snaps are difficult for children to navigate, especially if they need to go potty urgently.
These are just a few suggestions that will make life easier for you, your child and your child's teachers. If you ever have parenting questions, ask your child's teacher or myself. We have all been through the different challenges and phases with our own children as well as the preschool children in our care for the last several years. We are a great resource for you.
We look forward to a GREAT school year!!
